Education & Employment Programs

G.E.N.I.U.S. Pre-Employment Skills

*Arizona Vocational Rehabilitation Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre ETS) Provider (Ages 14 – 22). No out-of-pocket cost for eligible members.

The G.E.N.I.U.S. (Gain Employment through New, Independent, and Universal Skills) Pre-Employment Skills Program is a structured, outcomes-driven model designed to prepare participants for employment and adult independence. Each component targets a specific skill area and is delivered through guided instruction, real-world application, and measurable progress tracking. Participants don’t just learn concepts—they practice, apply, and demonstrate skills that translate directly to work and daily life.

This program includes:

  • Job Exploration: Learn about different careers, strengths, and interests
  • Work-Based Learning (Classroom & Real-World): Practice job skills through hands-on activities and real work experiences in the community
  • Postsecondary Planning: Explore training programs, college, and other next steps after high school
  • Workplace Readiness Training: Build skills like teamwork, time management, and professional behavior
  • Self-Advocacy Instruction: Build confidence to express needs, make informed choices, and take an active role in your future.

G.E.N.I.U.S. Supported and Long Term Employment

*Qualified Vendor for the Arizona Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) (Ages 16 – 24+). No out-of-pocket cost for eligible members.

For teens and young adults who are ready to work, the G.E.N.I.U.S. Supported and Long-Term Employment Programs provide step-by-step help to build job skills, find a job, and succeed at work. We work directly with each person in real settings and give support until they can do the job more independently. The goal is steady, paid work and growing independence.

Employment Support Aide (ESA):
Staff provide extra support during the workday. This may include helping with focus, breaking down tasks, building routines, and improving communication with supervisors and coworkers.

Pathways to Employment (PTW):
Staff teach and practice basic work skills in small groups. This includes following directions, staying on task, handling feedback, and working with others. Activities are structured and repeated so skills can be used in real job settings.

Group Supported Employment (GSE):
Participants work together at a real job site with a coach. Staff model tasks, give prompts, and help the group complete actual work. Support is reduced over time as skills improve.

Individual Supported Employment (ISE):
Staff help each person find a job that fits their skills. We support applications, interviews, and onboarding. Once hired, we provide one-on-one coaching at the job until the person can work more independently.

G.E.N.I.U.S. Diploma-Completion

*Arizona Empowerment Scholarship (ESA) funds accepted for tuition and services (Ages 17 – 22).

The G.E.N.I.U.S. private diploma completion pathway is for students with disabilities working to finish their final graduation requirements within a structured, transition-focused setting while preparing for the work force.

Students should be close to graduation, with most high school credits already completed or only a few final requirements remaining. While students may explore other post secondary options, this program is designed to support a smooth transition into employment right after graduation. Coursework and credits align with Arizona Department of Education (ADE) graduation standards. Students who successfully complete the program graduate with a high school diploma recognized for employment and enrollment into other postsecondary vocation or college pathways.
